This meal is a family staple because it's cheap, fast, and fun for the kids.

Ingredients:

  • Pitas (White or Wheat)

  • Pizza Cheese

  • Pizza Sauce (Optional for those picky eaters lol)

  • Optional: Mini Pepperonis

Prep Time: 3 minutes

Cook Time: 3-5 minutes

TOTAL TIME: ~8 minutes

Prep/Recipe:

  1. Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil (for easy clean up)

  2. Place 3-4 pitas on the baking sheet, if they are rounded on the sides put the rounded edge upwards like a bowl

  3. You or the kids, decorate the pita with preferred toppings (sauce, cheese, pepperonis)

  4. Place cookie sheet on the top rack

  5. Broil on High for 3-5 minutes, to your desired level of cheese meltiness or crispiness. I personally stand at the oven until this is done since it goes SO quickly (see pictures for clock timestamp, it literally took 4 minutes).

  6. Cut pittas into 4 slices, and serve!

Feeds: family of 4

(Pictured: one no sauce, one a MOUNTAIN of cheese-- had to take most of it off lol, and one pizza for a normal human being)

  • Pizza Cheese = $2.29

  • Pizza Sauce (Optional for those picky eaters lol) = $1.29

  • Optional: Mini Pepperonis = $3.49
